They are are the worst excuse for a football team that exists! My heart hopes we crush them 50-0, but in my mind, I know it will be close.
There is no way they win at The Gallery, though! I think we win a close one--27-24 or something like that.

I don't know about the "worst excuse for a football team..." but I will say this, their fans are certainly some of the most mis-informed spin doctors I have heard in a long time. I hope they all come to the game and have to eat much crow afterwards. I think that we will be much improved. There are some blocking schemes that need to be gone over, some assignments that the O-line has to improve on, but the defense is going to be solid. We will certainly out quick the O-line from UAB, and if Manor and Co. get loose on the corners, they will get to Hackney. I am not to worried about our secondary, they match up really well with UABs receivers according to the press release. We are also much faster so seperation may be a problem for them. If that is the case and we control Hackney, we are in good shape there. I don't think our offense played that poorly last week. I watched the replay and yes, there were some "great catches" but there were also some drops, over/under throws as well as busted routes. These things should all be worked out this week. I also think that when we scored the first 17, we just sort of went through the motions, then had to gear in up again. Our focus was probably a little off with classes starting, the hurricane, a D-1AA that everyone thought we should dominate (Remember this was a very good team last year that didn't lose very much). Factor those things in and we should be fine. I think there is a drop in our defense "right now." But our offense is much improved. If we don't allow the sacks or Carl doesn't trip over his feet, we rush for about 140 yards. Count that with the 231 passing and that isn't to bad.
I think we win and probably by about 9 or 10 points. I am predicting 24 -13, something like that.

Troy 23 -- UAB 20; UAB has to constantly work fro the long end of the field due to Olmstead and our defense --- this eventually takes its toll and gives us the win
